Popular personality, Ugo Eaglet, has described his decision to relocate from Austria back to Nigeria as the best move of his life, saying he now enjoys peace of mind and financial relief.
In a post shared online, Ugo reflected on the financial pressures of living abroad, revealing that he once spent as much as €1,700 monthly on rent, amounting to about ₦41 million yearly, in addition to other recurring bills.
He listed some of his regular expenses as €240 for electricity, €400 for health insurance, and the high cost of food and cars purchased on credit.
“These expenses were just too much,” he said.

“I’m not discouraging anyone from travelling—you have to travel to understand. But when you travel and make it, come back to your home country. Instead of paying unnecessary bills there, come back and invest in Nigeria.”
Ugo noted that many men over 50 living abroad often wish to return home but face resistance from their wives. However, his own experience was different, as his wife, Jenny Slimzy, fully supported the move.
“Anywhere you go, I will follow you. Honey, what are we even still doing here? I’m even bored here, let’s go back to our country,” she told him.
Expressing gratitude for her support, Ugo praised his wife for being “caring, loving and understanding,” describing her as “the best thing that ever happened” to him.
Since returning home, Ugo said life has been simpler and more fulfilling.
“If there’s no light, buy solar. If there’s no water, provide it for yourself. Coming back to Nigeria is the best decision I made this year. Now I sleep like a baby—no more unnecessary bills or expenses,” he added.
