Content creator Ademola Abiodun, popularly known as DJ Chicken, has been remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre after a Magistrate’s Court in Ogba, Lagos, arraigned him over allegations of threatening the life of Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu.
DJ Chicken appeared before Magistrate M.F. Onamusi on a three-count charge bordering on alleged threat to kill, conduct likely to cause a breach of the peace and offences under the Cybercrime Act.
Prosecutors told the court that the charges stemmed from a video posted on his social media platforms in which he allegedly threatened Seyi Tinubu while discussing the 2027 presidential election.
Although the content creator later withdrew the remarks, describing them as a joke intended to attract attention, the state proceeded with prosecution.
He pleaded not guilty to all charges and was granted ₦1 million bail with strict conditions. The case was adjourned until August 3, 2026.
