Pastor David Ibiyeomie, founder of Salvation Ministries, has spoken out against viral reports about his luxury watch collection, insisting that the value is far higher than what has been circulating online.
A recent report listing luxury watches owned by prominent Nigerians sparked widespread attention, with values ranging from N20 million to N140 million. The cleric’s name, however, became a focal point of controversy among the individuals mentioned.
During a church service, the cleric addressed the online speculation, stating that the watches discussed represent only a fraction of his collection. He said his timepieces are worth “over $2 million”, which translates to roughly N3 billion at current rates.

Pastor Ibiyeomie clarified that he does not personally purchase the watches. He revealed that they were gifted to him by a young church member who believed God had directed him to present the watches to his pastor.
He explained that the young man once gave him watches valued at “$2 million” because he loved watches and felt divinely led to give them to him.
Responding to the online scrutiny, the pastor dismissed the attention as unnecessary, describing those who were analysing his collection as “wasting their time.” He stressed that his priority is his ministry and “solving problems” for others.
Pastor Ibiyeomie also linked his lifestyle to the idea of “Kingdom wealth,” suggesting that divine blessing naturally attracts honour and gifts.
