Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has ruled out any possibility of joining the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying she has remained resolute despite what she described as sustained attempts by individuals connected to the Presidency to lure her into the ruling party.

Speaking during an appearance on Mic On Podcast hosted by Seun Okinbaloye on Saturday, the lawmaker said she had no intention of abandoning her political stance or yielding to pressure from influential quarters.

“APC is not an option for me. I don’t have to follow the bandwagon. I don’t have to succumb to any threat or any cajolment. I have been approached by people from the Presidency to join the APC,” she said.

Akpoti-Uduaghan maintained that her political decisions are driven by conviction and values, not by expediency or the desire to align with those in power.

She noted that preserving independence and personal integrity remains central to her engagement in politics.

According to the senator, external influence, inducements or intimidation would not determine her political direction, insisting that she would rather stand by her beliefs than compromise for advantage.
