Nigerian superstar Wizkid is celebrating a proud parenting milestone as his 14-year-old son, Boluwatife Balogun, known professionally as Champz, makes waves in the music industry.

Sharing his excitement, Wizkid remarked, “We love it man, he’s my kid you know!” highlighting his pride in his young son’s early achievements.

Champz recently dropped his first EP, Champion’s Arrival, a five-track project that quickly soared to the top of Apple Music Nigeria within hours of its release.

The EP has also gained international recognition, charting in 16 countries and securing the 71st spot on the UK Apple Music Top Albums chart, cementing Champz’s status as the youngest African artist to reach such a milestone.

Despite his age, Champz demonstrates remarkable confidence and originality in his music.

On tracks like Superstar, he shares personal insights about young love and family values, while asserting the authenticity of his lyrics.

On Grind, he showcases a cheeky, fearless side, delivering lines that playfully nod to his father’s legacy while establishing his own voice.

His mother, Sola Ogudugu, has been a steady presence in his life, supporting his growth both personally and professionally.

She praised her son’s work and thanked fans for embracing his debut project, emphasising the values of guidance, humility, and encouragement that have shaped him.

With both parents’ support and his own natural talent, Champz is rapidly carving out his own space in the music scene. The early success of Champion’s Arrival signals a promising future for the young artist, who is steadily proving that musical brilliance can run in the family.
