Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi have submitted their presidential nomination forms at the headquarters of the African Democratic Congress ahead of the 2027 elections.
Atiku described his ambition as a national movement aimed at restoring hope, prosperity, and rebuilding Nigeria. He urged Nigerians across ethnic and religious divides to support the ADC’s vision for the country.
Amaechi, however, took a swipe at President Bola Tinubu, blaming the administration for worsening economic hardship nationwide. He argued that competence and performance, not ethnic sentiment or the “Emilokan” ideology, should determine Nigeria’s next president.
The former Rivers governor also pledged to transform Nigeria within four years if elected, citing his experience as governor and transportation minister.
