President Bola Tinubu has commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for what he described as outstanding performance in transforming Abuja through infrastructure development, declaring that the minister has lived up to expectations since his appointment.
Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima at the inauguration of Collector Road CN2, also known as Emmanuel Okanla Boulevard, in Katampe District on Friday, Tinubu praised Wike for delivering key projects across the capital.
He said the minister had turned abandoned roads into functional boulevards while advancing water projects and other public infrastructure.
The President also highlighted the installation of solar-powered street lights, noting that the initiative had improved security and revived nightlife and economic activities.
Wike, in response, said the newly commissioned road was designed to close a critical gap in the district’s transportation network and would stimulate investment and development.
He added that ongoing infrastructure projects were creating opportunities and improving residents’ quality of life.
