“You come to work, not to toast me” — Woman calls out unprofessional advances by service workers

A Nigerian woman has sparked debate online after criticising men who blur the line between professionalism and personal interest while on duty.

In a viral video shared on X, she recounted experiences with workers who make romantic advances towards clients instead of focusing on their jobs.

She said artisans, dispatch riders, and other service providers often misuse access to clients’ personal details to initiate unsolicited contact.

“You come to work, get paid, and the next thing, you start making passes at me. Even dispatch riders are texting to profess love. It’s unprofessional and dangerous,” she said.

The woman also criticised men who react negatively to rejection, describing such behaviour as lacking basic sense and respect.

She stressed that maintaining boundaries should be the minimum standard, warning that failure to do so could cost offenders their jobs. Her comments have drawn mixed reactions across social media platforms.
