Actress and media personality Temi Otedola has openly embraced the label of a “nepo baby,” saying she has no reason to deny the privileges she enjoyed while growing up.
Speaking on a recent episode of The How Far Podcast alongside her husband, Mr Eazi, the daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola explained that privilege means having access to financial security, quality education, food and a stable foundation that many people lack.
She added that nepotism, particularly in the entertainment industry, involves gaining opportunities through family connections, citing how parents could introduce their child to a music producer or fund a music video.
Temi insisted that acknowledging such advantages does not diminish personal effort, stressing that she received a head start and worked hard to maximise it.
Mr Eazi supported her position, saying he also benefited from opportunities created by the hard work of those who came before him and believes recognising privilege should not be controversial.
