Pastor Mrs Folu Adeboye, wife of Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has revealed the extent of her personal sacrifice after becoming born again.
In a viral video, she disclosed that her conversion demanded a complete lifestyle change, including giving up jewellery she once valued deeply.
According to her, she had invested heavily in gold ornaments for her young child before embracing her new faith.
She explained that at the time, wearing earrings was considered unacceptable in the church, prompting her to dispose of the items. “We dropped everything in the lagoon,” she said.
Despite advice to sell the jewellery, Adeboye insisted that anything she deemed unfit for herself could not be passed on to her mother.
She added that she holds no regrets about the decision, stressing her unwavering commitment to God.
