WAEC Releases 2026 WASSCE Results for School Candidates

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the results of the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates, ending weeks of anticipation for nearly two million students across Nigeria.

The examination body announced the development on Wednesday through its official X account, confirming that candidates can now access their results via the WAEC result-checking portal after generating the required PIN and serial number.

According to WAEC, candidates must provide their examination number, the National Identification Number (NIN) used during registration and other required details to complete the verification process.

The 2026 WASSCE was conducted between April 21 and June 19, 2026, with about 1.96 million candidates from more than 24,200 secondary schools participating nationwide.

This year’s examination featured both the traditional paper-based format and the Computer-Based Testing (CBT) option.

The release follows WAEC’s earlier assurance that results would be available about 45 days after the final paper, with candidates, parents and schools now checking performances and preparing for the next academic stage.
