“Two Kidnap Victims Rescued, Five Suspects Arrested” — Bauchi Police

The Bauchi State Police Command has rescued two kidnapped victims and arrested five suspected kidnappers following a coordinated security operation in Alkaleri Local Government Area of the state.

Police said the victims, a 40-year-old woman and her 25-year-old son, were abducted on June 2 after armed men reportedly invaded their residence in Kwarin Gadali Hamlet, Pali District.

Acting on a distress call, security operatives launched an intelligence-led investigation that quickly identified suspected members of the kidnapping gang.

A joint team comprising police officers, military personnel and local vigilantes subsequently tracked and arrested three suspects in Kuka Village, Duguri District, before further investigations led to the arrest of two additional suspects.

Information obtained during interrogations reportedly helped authorities locate the victims, who were rescued unharmed during a follow-up operation on June 3.

The victims have received medical attention and reunited with their families, while investigations continue to apprehend fleeing gang members.
