A Nigerian mother has sparked online reactions after accusing her son’s school of dismissing his career ambition ahead of a planned career day event.
In a viral video shared on X, the woman alleged that her child was repeatedly overlooked by teachers during a classroom exercise where pupils were asked to state their future professions.
According to her, her son confidently told the school director he wanted to become a “hacker”, a term she said she had explained to him as relating to cyber security.
However, she claimed his response was not taken seriously, unlike those of other pupils. She further alleged that while other students were given materials to prepare, her son was ignored.
Despite her concerns, the mother expressed confidence in his future, insisting he would achieve great success.The video has since generated mixed reactions online.
