Yamu said the arrest occurred on November 25, 2025, at around 11:30 p.m., during ongoing investigations into an earlier raid that led to the arrest of four suspected cultists at Uromi Divisional Headquarters.
According to the police, the suspects admitted that the firearm belonged to one Peace Ehinor, who reportedly escaped during the earlier operation.
Yamu also provided details of the previous arrests, naming the four suspects as Godspower Ehihanor, 24; Miracle Akhigbe, 27; Miracle Kasheka, 25; and Honest Idemudia, 24. He added that Godspower Ehihanor confessed during interrogation to being a member of the Aye Confraternity.
All six suspects have now been charged to court for prosecution, while police continue efforts to apprehend other fleeing gang members.
