Veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu has appealed for financial support after revealing that she is battling an undisclosed illness requiring three urgent life-saving surgeries estimated to cost ₦30 million.
In an emotional video shared on her Instagram page from a hospital, the actress said making the public appeal was difficult but necessary because she could no longer remain silent about her condition.
She pleaded with fans, friends, family, colleagues and well-wishers to support her treatment and help share her message, praying that others would never experience such an affliction.
Although Nwosu did not disclose the nature of the illness, she said she had been battling the condition for some time and urgently needed medical intervention.
Her appeal comes amid growing concerns over the health challenges facing several Nollywood stars, with a number of actors recently undergoing surgeries, hospitalisation or recovering from serious medical conditions that required public prayers and support.
