“Not Everyone Needs Prayers, Some People Are Hungry” — Odumeje Gifts Church Member ₦500,000 During Service

Popular cleric Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, widely known as Odumeje, stirred reactions during a church service after making humorous comments about hardship before gifting a church member ₦500,000.

Addressing the congregation, the cleric jokingly described poverty and economic struggle as a condition he called “Tinubu” while stressing that not everyone who attends church is in need of spiritual intervention.

According to him, some individuals are simply battling financial hardship and require practical support.

In a moment that attracted laughter from worshippers, Odumeje remarked that a church member who had fallen during prayers may have collapsed from hunger rather than spiritual influence.

He then proceeded to present the individual with financial support. The incident quickly generated reactions online, with many users commenting on the cleric’s remarks, humour and gesture of assistance toward the congregant.
