“My Father Chose Her Over Me” — Charles Inojie Reveals Painful Childhood Rejection

Nollywood actor Charles Inojie has shared a deeply personal account of his troubled childhood, revealing how family conflict and rejection shaped his early life.

Speaking in a recent interview, the comic star disclosed that he lived with his biological father for only eight months, a period he described as filled with tension and emotional distress.

According to Inojie, his stepmother issued an ultimatum demanding his father choose between her and him. The decision ultimately led to his exclusion from the family home.

“My stepmother told my father to choose between me and her, and he chose her,” he recounted.

The actor added that the situation worsened when he gained university admission but was asked to delay his education until his much younger step-sibling was ready.

He noted that the experience had a lasting emotional impact, highlighting challenges faced in some blended families across Nigeria today.
