Social media influencer King Mitchy has issued a public apology following widespread backlash over a live video in which she admitted taking a substance on camera.
The incident occurred amid her feud with fellow activist Verydarkman, which began when she accused him of withholding NGO funds.
In her statement, King Mitchy acknowledged her behaviour was wrong and expressed regret for disappointing her followers, particularly young girls who look up to her.
She also extended apologies to Seyi Tinubu, the Oni of Ife, and activist Martins Vincent Otse, recognising the impact of her words and actions during the controversy.
King Mitchy reflected on her actions, stating, “I’m ready to be held accountable for my actions… I know I was wrong and I want to be held accountable… I will never take your support for granted.” She urged Nigerians to focus on positive change and expressed hope for reconciliation with Verydarkman.
