The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has published the results of 632,788 candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), marking a major step in the ongoing nationwide exercise.
The Board said candidates can check their results via SMS using the phone numbers registered during the exam, while result slip printing will be enabled later.
According to Fabian Benjamin, candidates are to send “UTMERESULT” to 55019 or 66019 to access their scores. He emphasized that this remains the only approved method for now.
JAMB also warned against attempts to manipulate results using digital tools, including artificial intelligence, describing such actions as criminal offences. The Board confirmed that two candidates and one parent are already in custody over alleged score falsification.
The examination body added that the UTME exercise is still ongoing, with more results expected to be released in batches.
