Nollywood actress and media personality Nancy Isime has described hosting the Service of Songs for her late colleague Alex Ekubo as the hardest gig of her career.
She made the emotional revelation in an Instagram post where she reflected on the event, insisting she could not place his name and ‘RIP’ in the same sentence.
According to reports, the Service of Songs was held at the Monarch Event Centre in Lekki, Lagos, and attracted friends, family and several Nollywood celebrities who came to honour him.
Isime added that the experience was emotionally draining, calling it the hardest hosting gig of her life, while expressing how much she misses him and finding comfort in Bible verses.
She had earlier honoured the actor with a dark Instagram profile photo and a tribute message amid growing reactions from fans over her appearance at the memorial event Service of Songs event held in Lagos.
