Isaac Oyedepo launches Abuja services, says God told him not to collect offerings

Pastor Isaac Oyedepo, founder of Isaac Oyedepo Evangelistic Ministries, has announced the start of Sunday services in Abuja, emphasising that his ministry will not collect offerings.

In a video shared online on January 11, Oyedepo explained that God specifically instructed him to focus on discipleship and spiritual growth rather than traditional financial practices.

“God gave me specific instructions not to collect offerings,” he said, adding that the decision does not criticise other ministries.

The young pastor, born February 26, 1985, highlighted that his ministry’s approach mirrors Jesus’ early work of making disciples, stressing consistent engagement with Scripture as essential for spiritual maturity.

Oyedepo officially transitioned to his independent ministry on November 28, 2023, after years of service at Living Faith Church, the global ministry founded by his father, Bishop David Oyedepo.

The Abuja services aim to equip attendees to follow Christ effectively.
