Isaac Fayose’s wife is dead

Isaac Fayose has announced the death of his wife months after revealing that she was battling cancer.

The younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, shared the news in an emotional post on Instagram on Saturday.

Posting an image of a candlelight, Fayose wrote, “Rest In Peace, My darling wife.”

In another tribute post accompanied by photographs of his late wife, he wrote, “Odaro oyinbo mi.”

The development comes after Fayose disclosed in March that his wife had been seriously ill during a visit to his family in Australia.

At the time, he recounted her health struggles in an emotional video shared on social media.

“My wife is not feeling well. When I got here, she was very weak. The same woman who usually picks me up at the airport couldn’t come, so I had to take an Uber.

“She used to cook for me, but now I find myself cooking for her. She couldn’t cook or talk. I sat beside her and sang her favourite song; she held my hand as I sang,” Fayose had said in tears.

Following the announcement of her death, sympathisers flooded his social media page with condolence messages.

Among those who reacted were actress Yvonne Jegede, comedian Ali Baba and veteran musician Daddy Showkey, alongside several other followers and associates.
