A woman living with hirsutism has shared her experience of facing constant public scrutiny, revealing that many people often mistake her for a man because of her facial hair.
In a viral social media video, she said strangers regularly question her gender despite her appearance, adding that she has learned to ignore negative comments and remain confident.
According to her, hirsutism runs in her family, although her case is more pronounced than that of her relatives.
She disclosed that she deliberately stopped shaving her facial hair because she wants to remain natural and different, insisting that other people’s opinions do not define her.
Recalling one of the most hurtful remarks she received, the woman said someone once claimed no man would ever approach her because of her appearance.
