“I’m Stronger Than I’ve Ever Been” — Joshua Declares Ahead Of Boxing Comeback

Britain’s former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has declared himself mentally and physically stronger as he prepares to return to the ring against Albania’s Kristian Prenga in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on July 25, after months away from competitive boxing.

The 35-year-old, who last fought in December 2025, said the comeback fight represents renewed purpose following the tragic loss of two friends in a car accident in Nigeria late last year.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Joshua said he feels grounded and motivated, stressing that true satisfaction only comes with victory, not contract signings.

He cautioned against focusing on paperwork ahead of a potential blockbuster showdown with Tyson Fury, insisting his priority is winning in the ring.

Joshua said the year ahead would be demanding but revealed that intense training and mental resilience now define his life as he builds toward what could be a career-defining stretch.
