A landlord in Nigeria has sparked controversy after issuing a strict directive banning tenants from purchasing food or household items outside his building.
According to the official notice titled “Mandatory House Rules and Regulations,” all tenants must obtain food and provisions exclusively from the landlady or face eviction.
The notice also outlined additional rules, including locking the main gate daily from midnight to 5 a.m., prohibiting loitering, smoking, loud disturbances, and any form of misconduct.
Tenants were warned that any security breaches caused by negligence would result in full accountability.
Non-compliance carries immediate consequences, with the landlord emphasizing that refusal to adhere to the regulations would lead to instant eviction without notice.
The notice concluded that continued residence and rent payment signify agreement to follow all rules, highlighting the landlord’s firm stance on control and management of the premises.
