Disc jockey Kudirat Gbemisola, known as DJ Kulet, has revealed she once lived a troubled life marked by homelessness and prostitution before embracing Christianity.
She made the disclosure during a church testimony on Sunday, recounting her experiences in Surulere, Lagos, particularly in the Lawanson area, where she said her past lifestyle was widely known.
In a post shared on Instagram, Kulet described her journey as a transformation “from a mess to a message.” She explained that she initially lived on the streets before receiving help from individuals who provided temporary accommodation.
According to her, her situation improved gradually as she transitioned from dependence on others to financial stability through her career as a disc jockey.
Kulet added that she eventually moved into better housing and, in April 2024, purchased her own home in Surulere, stressing that the property was fully funded through legitimate means.
