Sixteen-year-old UTME candidate, Daniella Owoeye, has revealed how disciplined study routines and consistency helped her emerge as the highest scorer in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination with 372 marks.
The former student of EFVP Wisdom Spring Model School, Ota, said she dedicated up to eight hours daily to studying after finishing secondary school in 2025. Owoeye disclosed that she used past questions, CBT applications, online tutorials, YouTube videos, and WhatsApp study groups to prepare thoroughly for the examination.
he scored 98 in English, 98 in Chemistry, 94 in Physics, and 82 in Biology. Despite scoring 293 in her first UTME attempt due to technical issues, she remained determined and improved significantly.
The aspiring medical doctor also encouraged female students to strive for academic excellence and avoid distractions. She credited her success to personal study, prayers, and the unwavering support of her parents, who are both staff members of Covenant University.
