“I Pray to Know When to Quit Music” — Davido Opens Up on His Biggest Fear

Afrobeats superstar Davido has revealed that his greatest fear is remaining in the music industry beyond the right time, saying he constantly prays for the wisdom to know when to step away before damaging his legacy.

Speaking in a recent interview, the singer referenced Portuguese football icon Cristiano Ronaldo, whom he described as a good friend, noting that despite his remarkable achievements, the football legend still faced criticism during the World Cup.

Davido said the experience reinforced his desire to avoid overstaying his career and allowing one mistake to overshadow years of success.

The award-winning artiste also disclosed that, if given the opportunity, he would establish a therapy centre for people who were once famous and successful to help them cope with life after the spotlight.

Earlier this year, Davido announced plans to pursue a Master’s degree in Political Science in the United Kingdom and temporarily pause releasing new music.
