Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has announced that she has given her life to Christ after revealing she was divinely healed from a mysterious illness that kept her battling health challenges for nine years.
The actress said she almost died and claimed people tried to kill her, but credited God for delivering and restoring her health.
Declaring herself “a brand new person,” Halima said she is now committed to serving Jesus Christ and preaching the gospel, adding that she will publicly share her testimony through Queen Belemzy Ministries (School of Power).
Her announcement has attracted emotional reactions from fans and colleagues, many describing her conversion as her best decision and praying that her healing remains permanent.
The actress had previously appealed for financial assistance for medical treatment, including brain and spleen surgery, after repeatedly speaking about her prolonged illness.
In 2024, she apologised to Apostle Johnson Suleman over defamatory allegations following her suspension by the Actors Guild of Nigeria.
