Media personality Ifedayo Agoro has ignited discussions online after sharing why she refused to kneel while feeding her husband during their wedding.
The Diary of a Naija Girl founder tied the knot with content creator Frank Itom in April 2025 and said she happily fed him cake but could not perform the traditional kneeling ritual.
In a video interview shared on X, Agoro explained, “I don’t like it when you go for a wedding and they tell the bride to feed her husband kneeling down. I fed my husband cake, but I didn’t kneel. I can’t be a hypocrite.”
Her statement has drawn mixed reactions. Some Nigerians argue that kneeling is a mark of respect, while others maintain that couples should define their own traditions.
