Fuji musician Saheed Osupa has stirred widespread reactions after openly admitting that he engages in traditional spiritual practices to enhance his career and personal life.
Speaking at the 52nd birthday celebration of veteran actor Fatai Odua, popularly known as Lalude, the singer defended his beliefs and dismissed criticisms surrounding the use of “juju.”
In a viral video, Osupa clarified that such practices are not harmful but serve as tools for self-improvement, focus, and memory.
He emphasised that his daily obeisance to Ifa complements his efforts toward success rather than replacing hard work or talent.
Addressing critics, he stated, “I didn’t kill anyone with my juju… I am only looking for how to progress.”
Osupa further argued that many people engage in similar practices privately, while he chooses to be open about his beliefs, sparking intense debate online.
