“I Didn’t Bathe or Eat for Four Days in Police Cell” — TikToker Peller Recounts

Nigerian TikToker and streamer Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has recounted his experience in police detention, claiming he neither bathed nor ate for most of the four days he spent in custody following his arrest in Lagos.

The 21-year-old shared the details on his Snapchat account after regaining his freedom, saying the ordeal was unlike anything he had previously experienced.

According to Peller, fellow inmates recognised him and jokingly called him “001” during his stay in the cell.

He said the experience has made him more cautious as he now intends to avoid trouble while focusing on his upcoming wedding.

Peller was arrested in the Lekki area after a confrontation with police officers over a tinted vehicle without a number plate.

He was later arraigned alongside Bello Oladipo on three counts, including obstruction of police officers, and was granted ₦500,000 bail by a Lagos Magistrates’ Court, securing his release.
