Nigerian content creator Geh Geh has ignited widespread debate on social media after openly stating that he would never date women who run POS businesses or work in similar service roles.
In a viral video, Geh Geh listed occupations he considers unacceptable for a potential partner, including POS operators, filling station attendants, and hotel waitresses.
He argued that many women prefer to date men who are financially and socially ahead of them, insisting that the same standard should apply in reverse.
According to him, he cannot settle for a woman he believes is below his economic class, claiming such women would not consider him if their roles were reversed.
His remarks, delivered in blunt street language, quickly drew mixed reactions online.
While some users defended his right to personal preferences, others criticised the comments as elitist and dismissive of hardworking women.
The controversy has reignited conversations around classism, relationships, and dignity of labour in Nigeria’s evolving social space.
