A woman has sparked widespread reactions online after sharing a disturbing account of how she spent 10 years battling mental illness after being influenced by a spiritual leader shortly after her marriage.
She said the experience began in 2016 when she was 21 years old, after a pastor allegedly convinced her that enduring prolonged madness would bring wealth and success to her husband. She agreed, believing it was a spiritual sacrifice rather than harmful ritual involvement.
According to her account, she lost full awareness of her life for years before briefly regaining consciousness in 2019 in a church that cared for her.
She said her husband later took her back home after being told by the pastor that her recovery was not yet time.
She further claimed she fully recovered in 2026, only to discover her husband had become wealthy and remarried, insisting her condition did not contribute to his success. She has now called for justice.
