Comedian and content creator Mr Jollof has openly declared his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, saying the president will remain in office until 2031.
In a video circulating online and reported by The Nation, he affirmed that he and members of his community would back Tinubu “with our full chest.”
Mr Jollof also linked his endorsement to personal and cultural ties, noting that the First Lady, Remi Tinubu, is regarded as a chief in his community and therefore makes the president “an in-law.”
He insisted that Tinubu’s leadership should continue beyond the current term, describing the 2027 election as a stepping stone to sustained governance.
The endorsement adds to growing political support from entertainers and grassroots groups as preparations intensify ahead of the next general election, with political alignments and public declarations becoming more visible across Nigeria’s evolving political landscape ahead of the 2027 presidential contest.
