Oge Kimono, daughter of late reggae icon Ras Kimono, has issued a public warning over an alleged fraudulent attempt to sell a property belonging to her father’s estate.
In a statement, she accused the late musician’s first wife, Sybil, of unlawfully selling a plot of land located in Ota, Ogun State, despite claims that she has no legal authority over the estate.
Oge stated that Ras Kimono was legally divorced from Sybil in 2005 and was married to Cynthia Dumas at the time of his death in 2018.
She described the transaction as “unauthorized, invalid, and of no legal effect,” warning the public and real estate agents to avoid any dealings with the individual involved.
The family insists the estate is actively protecting the late musician’s legacy and assets, and will pursue legal action against any continued attempts to dispose of properties tied to Ras Kimono’s estate or estate-related holdings.
