“Carter Efe Is An Established Olodo” — Solomon Buchi Blasts Comedian Over Remi Tinubu-Inspired Skit

Relationship coach and social commentator Solomon Buchi has criticised comedian Carter Efe over a comedy skit inspired by First Lady Oluremi Tinubu’s remarks encouraging Nigerians to embrace small-scale businesses such as akara, kuli-kuli and groundnuts.

Reacting to the skit, Buchi described Carter Efe as an “established olodo” and lamented what he sees as a growing culture of turning serious national issues into comedy instead of demanding accountability from political leaders.

He argued that young Nigerians who should be mobilising others to hold the government accountable are creating humorous content from painful realities, adding that even tragic events quickly become material for entertainment.

Buchi questioned whether Nigerians have become too comfortable laughing through hardship rather than confronting it, urging citizens to do better.

His comments have sparked mixed reactions online, with some supporting his views while others defended comedians, saying humour remains a coping mechanism during difficult economic times.
