A new scandal has hit self-styled relationship coach Blessing Okoro, widely known as Blessing CEO, after cancer survivor Deborah Mbara accused her of falsifying a medical report to feign a stage four cancer diagnosis.
In an Instagram video, Mbara, a creative director from Asaba, Delta State, said she had previously shared her own medical report with Blessing CEO, trusting her request to compare diagnoses.
Mbara recounted her shock when the report appeared online, altered to support Blessing CEO’s claims and solicit donations. “I thought I was helping someone in need, not knowing she had a different agenda…This is evil, this is wickedness, this is demonic,” she said.
The Delta State chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association confirmed that the circulated document was doctored and warned against undermining medical integrity.
Amid backlash, Blessing CEO has denied having cancer and deactivated her social media accounts, following claims she solicited financial assistance for treatment.
