President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Lagos State to begin his end-of-year break after completing official visits to Borno and Bauchi states.

The President arrived at the presidential wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, where he was received by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, alongside senior government officials and chieftains of the All Progressives Congress.

Tinubu had left Abuja on Saturday for a three-state working tour, starting in Borno State.

While in the state, the President also attended the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno State Governor and Senator, Ali Modu Sheriff, and his bride, Hadiza Kam Salem.

From Borno, Tinubu proceeded to Bauchi State, where he paid a condolence visit to the state government and the family of the late Islamic scholar and leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, who died on November 27.

After the condolence visit, the President headed back to Lagos, where he is expected to rest and participate in a number of activities during the festive season.

A major event on his schedule is the Eyo Festival slated for December 27 at the Tafawa Balewa Square, where Tinubu will attend as guest of honour.
