Content creator Jarvis has clarified the controversy surrounding a viral moment from her traditional wedding to fellow content creator Peller, insisting that she never described her husband as “womb shifter” as widely claimed on social media.
Speaking during a livestream shared on her social media page, Jarvis explained that she actually said “tomb shifter,” which she described as a cultural expression used in her village to refer to husbands.
The clarification follows widespread reactions after a wedding clip circulated online, with many viewers believing they heard her use the phrase “womb shifter.”
According to Jarvis, her words were misunderstood and misrepresented after the video spread across different social media platforms.
“For those of you that came to my wedding and changed my words, I never said ‘womb shifter.’ I said ‘tomb shifter.’ That’s what we call our husbands in my village,” she said, while also referencing the biblical account of the tomb being shifted.
