Former manager to acclaimed singer Innocent “2face” Idibia, Kaka Igbokwe, has confirmed that the musician was arrested in London following a heated confrontation with his pregnant wife, Natasha Osawaru.
The couple travelled to the United Kingdom for a concert tour, but the singer failed to appear at a scheduled show on 2 October, fuelling rumours online.
Reports suggested the arrest stemmed from an incident at an airport, where Natasha, a lawmaker representing a constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly, confronted her husband shortly after they landed.
Speaking during a live Instagram conversation with broadcaster Daddy Freeze, Kaka said, “Everything you heard about the couple’s face-off was true. There was an argument, there was shouting, and the situation got out of control very quickly. It happened exactly the way people have been saying it did.”
Kaka, who travelled with the couple as part of their London team, explained that Natasha became angry when she thought her husband had abandoned her to greet fans who led him into a nearby shop. He claimed she felt ignored after they disembarked and reacted forcefully when he returned.
He said airport authorities were called to calm the situation but, by then, security had already stepped in and detained the singer. The incident reportedly culminated in 2face being handcuffed and taken away by police officers for questioning.
Describing the moment in full, Kaka added, “When 2face realised Natasha was left behind, he ran back to her immediately. But she lashed out at him right there because she felt embarrassed and upset. Before anyone could even explain what happened, the officers moved in and arrested him.”
A video posted online on 1 December showing the arrest quickly went viral, prompting renewed interest in the couple’s relationship. The footage attracted thousands of comments on TikTok, with fans debating what happened and whether police involvement was necessary.
Neither 2face nor Natasha has released an official statement addressing the altercation or the arrest. Entertainment industry sources say upcoming tour dates may be affected, although the singer’s team is still reviewing arrangements.
The incident has once again highlighted how private disputes involving public figures often spill into the online space, especially in an era where livestreaming and viral content dominate conversations.
