Uzbekistan’s President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has described former United States President Donald J. Trump as the “president of the world,” commending his past leadership and peace efforts.

He made the remark during a meeting that followed Trump’s announcement of a major trade and economic partnership between both countries.

Mirziyoyev praised Trump’s previous administration for maintaining stability across global regions.

He said, “In Uzbekistan, we call you the president of the world. You’ve done a lot. You were able to stop eight wars.”

The statement highlighted his recognition of Trump’s diplomatic record and his view of the former U.S. leader as a figure with global influence.

Trump, in response, thanked the Uzbek president for the kind words and confirmed the signing of what he called an “incredible Trade and Economic Deal” between the two nations.

He said the agreement would bring more than $35 billion in investments over the next three years and exceed $100 billion within a decade.

The deal covers areas such as aviation, infrastructure, agriculture, technology, and minerals.

Mirziyoyev also expressed confidence in Trump’s ability to help bring an end to the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

“I’m convinced that the war between Russia and Ukraine can be stopped only by you. And we are very much hopeful for that,” he said.

Trump welcomed the comment, describing Uzbekistan’s position as “highly respectful and visionary.”

He said both countries were ready to build a stronger relationship that would promote peace and development.
