Sophia Momodu, the mother of Davido’s first child, has issued a firm warning to fans who continue to refer to her as the singer’s wife, insisting that such labels must stop.
Speaking during a recent live session, Sophia recounted an encounter with a content creator who excitedly shouted “Mama Imade, OBO’s wife” upon seeing her in public.
She said the remark made her uncomfortable and misrepresented her current reality.Sophia stressed that she has moved on from her past relationship with the Afrobeats star and urged the public to respect personal boundaries.
According to her, constantly tying women to former relationships undermines their individuality and personal growth.
Her comments have since generated mixed reactions online, with some supporting her call for respect and others questioning her stance.
Davido is currently married to Chioma Rowland, with whom he shares twins. Sophia, however, made it clear that she desires peace, respect and the freedom to live her life without being defined by the past.
