Nigerian businesswoman, Tracynither Nicolas Ohiri, has claimed she was arrested on the orders of the Minister of Works, David Umahi, in a viral video circulating online.
She alleged that she was being taken to Abuja and warned Nigerians to hold both the minister and police accountable if anything happened to her.
Tracynither stated that Umahi has owed her for 12 years over campaign materials she supplied, and alleged the dispute worsened after she refused his romantic advances.
She accused the minister of abusing his political power to “weaponise” the state against her, insisting that her arrest was unjust and politically motivated.
The controversy adds to an ongoing dispute, as Umahi has previously denied claims of unpaid contracts and sexual harassment while threatening legal action.
As of now, neither the minister’s office nor the police have commented on the latest allegations.
